Sometimes a photograph reveals just a bit of truth. It looks like you were right on the edge of discovering that truth for yourself (painfully) in this one.
I found you via Scalzi’s By The Way. Just the title of your blog alone has convinced me to stick around for a while and check out what you have to say.
Heh. You are absolutely right. In fact, the picture taking ended right after that because Lacey let me know by means of a lightning-quick swipe that she was tired of the flashing light and wanted to go back to sleep. I limit myself to one picture of her while she’s sleeping these days.
Thanks for stopping by. I have to admit that trying to start a new blog right before the end of the semester was probably not the smartest thing in the world to do, but now that classes are over I’m going to try to get into a regular routine for posting. Luckily, I have a huge “things I’d like to write about” list to help me get started.
And thanks for the comment on the title. Need to come up with a neat tagline that ties the two together.

Very cute!
I hate to ask this, but I am trying to figure out if you are a Mike Stanley I grew up with in Tennessee. Ever lived in Smyrna?
